Of all the things that could happen on one peaceful Friday night here in Ormoc City... THIS DID! What am I talking about? There's not much I can say because I'm not CRAZY and I do not know what goes on inside crazy people's minds. It takes one to know one kuno.

Okay, I wasn't really there when this took place because I was still busy trying to make a living. So here are pictures that will tell you a story... as per mamertz. This actually happened at her place and since she lives next door and currently with no internet (way to go Bayantel!), she gave me the privilege of blogging this whole incident.

Mamertz was on the phone talking to a friend while her son, Carl, who was supposed to be in their bedroom sleeping already, was in our grandmother's bedroom still playing. It was good thing! Because soon after, the maid was asking mamertz if her husband, Kuya Jimmy, was in their room. Why? Just because she saw somebody go inside. That gave mamertz the creeps! I mean, would your instinct think it was an actual person? Or a ghost? EEEEKKK! Okay, now that Kuya Jimmy appeared with Clark with him, there was NO WAY someone (authorized) would go inside their room!

And so they rushed to their love nest (ahem!) which also had a separate entrance through the back of the house and realized that the door of the bedroom was locked! HALA!!! And the lights were out!!! OMG!!!!! Could it be?

Yeah, right. They called everyone! They called the entire NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

One of our neighbors said that she was in their house earlier in the afternoon and also went inside their bedroom! WHAT THE F.....!!!!!

AAAHHH! This is too much. And look, she unplugged the a/c!



And tried to steal money, opening wallets and bags... Ayyy, it's a mess alright!





And she even took a shower!!!



The authorities responded... fast! Way to go!!!



And they took her away... along with Clarkie's tee shirt. Yup! She wore my 9-year-old nephew's shirt!



The DSWD people refused to take her because there was no place for her. Alas! Ormoc has no women's facility!!! Mayor? Are you there? I think we need a mental institution... HURRY!!!

Now, the police station refused to take her in as well... because it was a testosterone packed cell!

And this lady was crazy enough to take her shirt off and was walking TOPLESS all over the precinct... yet she had the decency to COVER HER BREAST when this photo was shot!



CRAZY PEOPLE WON'T COVER THEIR BREASTS AFTER THEY HAVE PARADED THEM FOR ALL EYES TO SEE!!!

She then called mamertz a pig!!! HAHAHAHA! Baboy lagi kuno ka, te! BOTANGE! Popular feeds pod diay ka?

I think she's just badly in need of attention. Maybe she's traumatized with all those bruises she sustained when she initially stormed in our other neighbor's bedroom earlier this afternoon and got beaten??? Well, then... who also in their right mind would also ask those guys in the holding cell who would like to f*ck her and then she even spread her legs out!?!?!! Gawd.. this is really too much!

The government really needs to do something about this. Because I'm telling you, this isn't the first time these things have happened around here and it certainly won't be the last!

Mamertz went paranoid, too...  Look at what's on her feet!



Sa iya na karatol! I mean, if Carl had been sleeping in the room when that crazy lady (who by the way wouldn't tell us her name) came in... it would have been a real nightmare! I just heard recently that a 2-year-old boy was brought to the local hospital here after sustaining 15 stab wounds because he was hostaged! For real!!!

I don't have anyone to talk to right now. My best friend, Dapoieee, is sleeping. My friends are playing poker. I can't talk to Banggoy because he's the one bothering me.

So, here I am. Writing my troubles.  I'm just listening to some mellow music on my ipod, the OST of Coffee Prince. It suits my mood. I feel peace... a little. In spite of the Korean lyrics. My heart feels light. It's a good thing.

Now that I'm 25, I can't help but feel (once more) that gnawing feeling of being incomplete, of wanting more, of needing to be out there, of being important... of being loved. I have love, or so I think I have. I have someone. What worries me though.. is how long it's really going to last this time. I've left countless of relationships for various reasons. Or maybe they have one thing in common after all. Or maybe it's the opposite. I'm really confused. It's like being torn between being free and staying grounded. I'm not really sure what it will be... or what I really want. Maybe that's it. I'm just confused. But one thing's for sure. I'm not getting any younger.

I just realized that I'm like this. I write so much. Making things complicated than it really is. Am I really that kind of person? Should I just try to be simple? It's all because of me, is it? Ugh. I wish someone would answer me... I feel so sad.

Is this the quarter life crisis? Is this what growing up is about? I'm not getting what I want, but I'm fine with that. I'm really not complaining. But why am I frustrated? Why do I feel like I'm stuck in a rut? Oh, so many questions. Maybe I need to see a real shrink. I feel so............

Ugh.

I feel so worried about the future. I don't want to be. I'm a carefree spirit. I don't need this crap... this depressing feeling. It's not me.

But more importantly, I'm not sure what to do. I have a good love... but is it a great love? Is this really worth holding on to? We're going to spend our 3rd year anniversary in a month or so... but how come I'm not really happy about it?

Do I want to get married? No. Well, not now at least. But I do want a future... with someone. Is Banggoy the one? I mean, really. I would like to think so but things aren't really looking like the way I pictured "happily ever after" should be... even in reality. And I am being realistic. I'm trying so hard to understand. Telling him things that he ought to be doing for both of us... for a future together. But I guess... I think I shouldn't be, right? But if I don't, will he even give it a wee bit of consideration? That's just terrible. Well, he needs to know and I'm telling him. Yet, the more I dig, the more I feel being shoved aside. No, seriously. It just doesn't seem to work out anymore.

I mean, I do want us to be together. But is it really enough? What about food? Shelter? Clothing? The basic needs... a house? Ugh. I'm really fretting now. I'm scared... not having security.  I'm a girl after all. It's like those koreanovelas. Why are they so lucky? The guys always know what to say, how to make things right, and their love stands the tests of time... Yeah, right. That's just TV. Nothing like that in real life happens. OR DOES IT?

 



I have a life, too. I think I'll just divert my attention to it. YES! That's it! I will live MY LIFE... with or without LOVE. Just me, my life. Am I being selfish? No, I'm being righteous. But is it the right thing to do? At this time? Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! It's driving me crazy. I'm going crazy!!!

But that's it.I'm not going to cry anymore. I'll just think... I have ME. It's not the end. Heck, it only just began!!! I'm 25... at my prime! I can still do the things I want.

    * I'll learn a foreign language.
    * I'll learn how to cook rice... properly.
    * I'll make my own sushi.
    * I'll even stop buying Havaianas!

I'll be fine. I'll do just fine! I know it. I will LIVE MY LIFE. Go after my dreams... or whatever is left of it. I can't seem to get my thoughts together. I need to be calm... focus... ooommmm... HAHA! Kidding! There! I laughed. I smiled. Ahh that feels good!

I resolve not to be sad. I will not frown so I will not get wrinkles and there won't be a need for Botox. I will be a carefree spirit once more. I will fly... and land on my two feet perfectly like a top gymnast! Yes, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I will not go crazy! I will remember that as long as I won't lose my mind, I will not be broken. I will be strong. My friends will help me. My parents are always there for me. As for Banggoy, maybe time will tell.

But right now... I am MAI... and I am here.

MEMORIAL DAY Holiday!!! Got no work today... Weee!!! 

So I was doing some surfing because I woke up early today anyway (damn that alarm!) and then found some interesting stuff online.

According to Empire Movies, even though the movie has yet to begin filming, Warner Bros. has announced that they will release Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins on Memorial Day weekend, May 22, 2009. So umm, that's like a year from now? Yeah.

As an eighties kid, I'm a big fan of the Terminator series... but I have yet to watch the Sarah Connor Chronicles as I haven't had the time.



They got pretty cool posters that I just couldn't resist.

My "prodigal bro", Archie, got his first Havaianas... and he didn't pay a cent for it!!! Why? He won the 7 Waves contest, all because I coaxed him into joining. LOL! And crazy as he is... he went for it.

Yeah, he's one lucky bastard. LOL! My mom and my bestie, DappyDapoieee, edited the essay he submitted because I didn't want to be biased with my own entry. Tee hee!

How bad can it be? I mean, really. To be a growing woman with bad skin? Well, it's not too bad if you have time to take care of it. LOL! It's been 4 years since I went to my local dermatologist to have her take a look at my skin -- my face specifically.



That's my face while waiting for my turn at the clinic. Thankfully, my "prodigal bro", Archie, was with me to keep me company. I totally detest waiting during doctor's appointments. It takes forever all the time. Hehe.

The beautiful Dr. Jao pointed out that I didn't have many facial warts, just a couple of tiny ones... BUT I had some milia on my face! I don't know which is worse, but I'm guessing the latter because they stung so bad. Ouch x 100! Normally, you don't really see these things on my face, and since I spend too much time scrutinizing almost every square inch of my face, it's inevitable that I would eventually fret over these minute details.

And so this ensued...

 

FUGLY!

Yup, that's a lot of cauterizing alright! Like the smell of burning skin? Oh well, I take it as the price you have to pay for vanity. I had nothing better to do with my afternoon anyway.

After a day or two, I should look normal again, minus the warts and milia!

...I would have never ever given them another chance. Couriers can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Nobody is perfect alright but damn it, get your shit right. LOL! Okay, I'm calm now. But let me tell you what happened anyway.

I ordered Obagi for the Nth time and had it delivered at my Cebu address. It's not the first time, you know. Honestly, I've used Air21 around 90% of the time for my freight needs. Just because they're purple. Haha. They're not the cheapest but they do offer pick-ups so you don't have to go to their offices to send something... and that's really convenient! I do most of my shopping online and also sell stuff online, so Air21 really comes in handy. Until recently.



I trust Air21's speed when it comes to delivery over JRS or even LBC for that matter. I prefer Air21 over ToGo because the latter's color is shocking pink. Hehe. I can't really stress it enough, but the sight of the purple van pulling up my driveway is a sight to behold! EVERY TIME! Ha Ha! I've been wishing for a purple vehicle for as long as I can remember.

So, back to my story. The guys called me up Friday morning because they wanted directions to the house. Uhhh, okay... so they had a new delivery guy. Fine! I waited the whole day but no one came.

Saturday came and people have been constantly calling me for their orders. Air21 really had it coming. I asked Banggoy to call their customer service for Cebu. It's (032) 341-21-21 for those of you who couldn't find it in the directory. The lady told us that they made the delivery BUT NO ONE WAS HOME. OMG! WHAT THE F... I was home the WHOLE DAY! Bullshit!!!

I waited until 5 p.m. for the delivery but still no sign of the purple van! So I called the hotline again. Some dude answered and said it was still with the delivery guy assigned to the area, who by the way, DID NOT CALL ME AGAIN at least to verify if he had the right house or something. It's exasperating, really.

By 7 p.m. as soon as I finished work and in spite of the horrible weather (a perfect timing for a totally ruined day), Banggoy and I headed to the airport. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the FedEx/Air21 warehouse is in MACTAN island!  Well, good thing I'm from Mandaue so it took us 15-20 minutes (more or less) to get to the airport.

By the time we got there, we were informed that the package was still with the delivery guy. Come on. By now I was convinced the guy must be playing hooky or something. I mean, Mandaue City isn't THAT big of a place and it shouldn't take someone 2 days to figure out where I live. This is not freaking Hundred Islands!



There was really nothing we could do there because the van was still out there somewhere! We gave them directions (AGAIN!) and took off to get some grub.



It was almost 8 p.m. and my stomach had freaking borborygmi already. So we went to get fastfood (just because I was feeling depressed) and when we got home.. well... SURPRISE! SURPRISE!



It's too bad I wasn't home to receive it, because fo' shizzle I would take a freaking picture of the NEW delivery guy and give him a piece of my mind.  You know, just to inform him that the next time he doesn't know where to deliver stuff, he should keep in contact!

And so, if it really weren't for their purple color, this incident probably would make me NOT want to use their service ever again. But alas, they got my weakness. LOL! Go purple go!
