As you all probably know... Noodle Boy is back... in the flesh! Say goodbye to sleepless Skype nights!

First question, how is he? He says he's happy to be back home and now, he is in good hands. ;) It sure seems so because he is looking as great as ever and of course, he's with me all the time. LOL!

So what did this dashing young man get me for Christmas? Memories. Literally. And then some...

Okay, so remember when I gave up Maki and cried a bucket of tears? Well, he felt bad seeing me all broken and all so he said I should just get a replacement. He helped me decide on getting a Macbook Aluminum Unibody instead. We call him "Mickey"... and what do you expect from a laptop with 2.4ghz processor, 2gb RAM, 250gb HD, and NVIDIA 9400 graphics? Well, it's pretty much what I need... plus it's a Mac running on Snow Leopard!

I don't have to preach about Mac again because Noodle Boy is rolling his eyes already. Initially, I thought about getting the Macbook Pro but seeing the benchmarks on Mickey, getting him was a great buy and it was just practical.

Do I really need to spend more on an MBP when an Alum MB is enough? I could but I used my head. As a reward, Cariño Mio offered to bump up the memory to 4gb so I could "unleash my creativity", that is according to him.

His true present is actually the APPLE MAGIC MOUSE. Magic what? Yeah, you read it right. A MOUSE! But it's not just an ordinary computer mouse. Why? Because it's a Mac. *bleh*

I really can't even begin to describe how beautiful the mouse is. I've never been this enamored with a computer accessory *ever*. It's so ________ (insert adjective here). I wonder how many Clicks Per Second I can do with this. Gonna try that out when I can. Any challengers? LOL.

It's confirmed. My boif is such a geek. But he's the sweetest geek of all.

Noodle Boy also managed to bring me a lot of other goodies, too... like my very first Zippo. Buying an expensive lighter didn't ever cross my mind, but I don't mind owning one now. It looks beautiful and I got his message clear alright. It's emblazoned right there! Time to Google those neat Zippo tricks and learn them for the kicks. ;)

Everyone dreams of a hot, steamy love affair driven by wild intense passion at some point in our lives... well, most of us with imaginations anyway. Blame it on Hollywood, on romantic novels, and maybe even on literary erotica and porn. We all dream about that dashing debonair and that lady vixen, or whatever our fantasies dictate. But alas, it's not everyone who gets to experience such in real life. Lucky are those who ever get to try even just once, and then blessed are those whose fantasies are fulfilled each night. LOL! What am I getting at? Nothing. It's just me and my imagination tonight. Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one says dear ol' Einstein.

Let's start exercising our imaginations more, shall we? If Luke Skywalker used the force, then maybe we can, too! :) It's only mind over matter, and everyone knows (subconsciously!) how powerful that can get. I really think that's how I achieved my bust size. It only took 20 minutes each day, all throughout high school... and I think that really worked.

The key here is to visualize. Yep, that's right. If you're too lazy to get something started, why not try thinking about the results first then? Surely, that'll be more interesting to think about. After that, you'll be asking yourself how you can obtain it... and that'll get the ball rolling. Try it.

Play pretend also has its benefits. If it didn't, we wouldn't be doing it in school right? If not for moral development, it's for problem solving or building social and emotional skills. Just like using an object to represent something else while giving it action and motion. It's all in the mind. Have you ever hugged your pillow and kissed it thinking it was the love of your life? And I'm pretty sure we all played with Barbies and toy soldiers once. Sometimes I think I've had too much of these when I was growing up that I ended up with having not just one, but four imaginary friends! Or maybe because I was an only child. Nevertheless, I really think that excising the mind this way allows one to have empathy... you know, understanding and considering the feelings of others.

Mind games are fun. Noodle Boy and I do that a lot. Sometimes we go through battle of wits, sometimes with reason, and all the time, we end up learning a thing or two about how we can be stronger together, for each other. Nice.

And this is usually how we resolve conflicts. We don't fight because we argue a lot. Tee hee. I must admit, it would get forceful and raging at times, but that's the thing... a bit of stimulation and a whole lotta excitement! In the end, you understand yourself better and know exactly how the other person truly feels.

It is a fact that creativity is developed by regular use. Like our muscles, right? If we don't exercise, how else can we become stronger? The first thing we really need is desire. Then we plan, believe, become persistent, and eventually a positive outcome is inevitable. For it is true that once you set your heart on something, that will come true. It takes work, but I guess that's how we make dreams come true, too. It would take time as well, but patience is always a virtue and again, good things always come to those who wait. This is applicable in business endeavors because it all starts with ideas. And that right there is the product of your imagination!

My point here is simple.

Use your head.

Think.

Imagine.

Believe.

I really hate goodbyes. But nothing lasts forever. We all know the constant thing in life is change (death and taxes being unavoidable, the latter though a little debatable) and you know, I don't really lose hope. I've always been the optimistic kind... most of the time anyway. That as long as we have life, there is always that light at the end of the tunnel.

I cried my eyes out last night while backing up and deleting files. How corny is that?! I'm being sentimental. So give me this chance!

Either that or I'm just a wee bit worried my external drive wouldn't have enough space. :P

It's actually a mixed emotion. I'm happy as well because it's time to move on. Meaning there will be a lot of new stuffs to look forward to!

Anyways, what I'm really trying to accomplish here is prioritizing things in life. I'm starting my New Year's Resolution early so yeah, this is basically like cleaning out my closet once more. That is, getting rid of all the things that will just set me back from becoming more financially responsible. So out with the old...

I'm predicting that in 2010 there will be quite a lot of fireworks in my life. :) And the major reason of it all: Noodle Boy is coming home! Time to declutter and conquer my mess! Bwahahahaha! And I have less than a month to get everything in order... Sheeesh.

But hang on a minute, why do I feel like I'm having a garage sale of all my gadgets? Maybe because... I AM! The material girl in me is screaming like hell right now. But I shall not be bothered. This is for my own good. I got to stop (if not tame) the shopaholic in me. Gotta curb that impulse! We already have so many projects outlined for next year, and in order to succeed I need to get rid of all the negative vibes especially the things I can live without.

I can sum up everything in my mind right now in one word: REALITY. And yeah, it bites.

But there is one thing in my life though that's very dominant now that I cannot live without... and there's no way I'll be letting that one go. Hmm... You'll have to tune in to find out! ;)
